But usually the overall cost for robotic vacuum is more expensive than canister and upright vacuums.

Of course there are some other types of vacuum cleaners that are less popular like handheld, commercial and steam cleaners. Most people still prefer to use the traditional stick or canister vacuum since they are already in the market for very long time.
