What Is Trauma In Pregnant Women?

The most common pregnancy trauma are caused by some minor incidents which includes vehicle crashes and blunt abdominal trauma.

Ever experienced an extremely stressful or disturbing events that have left your feelings helpless and emotionally getting out of control? This is nothing but the phase of becoming traumatized.

We always hear this around us whenever any family member or friends are expecting a baby and are pregnant, that pregnant ladies should always be kept in an environment surrounded with good thoughts, good people around and with some extra care and love. Because we do not want to see our loved ones facing any problems.

But it happens with many “To-be-mom” that they become victim of trauma. Trauma affects almost 8% of pregnant population and is one of the lead cause of pregnancy related mortality. The risk of trauma increases with increase in pregnancy advances. 10% to 15% of trauma risk increases in first trimester and 50% to 54% in third trimester.

What are Trauma and How to Manage it?

The most common pregnancy trauma are caused by some minor incidents which includes vehicle crashes and blunt abdominal trauma. These situations mainly require clinical judgement about the extent of fetal and maternal assessment. Because insignificant trauma can result in fatal injury or demise too. Whereas Fetal monitoring recommendations for pregnant women with minor or major trauma are similar.

Minor Trauma:

Management of minor trauma is limited up to care for discussion of appropriate analgesics, factures, counselling regarding the signs and the symptoms of abruption and also to ensure appropriate follow up. Appropriate referral should be made to community based advocacy groups for the people who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and there should be a plan to ensure the safety of patient and other vulnerable people living in the household.

Major Trauma:

Whenever patients are detected and going through major trauma, it is always suitable to transfer the patient to the hospitals for a timely trauma evaluation. Because abruption has been reported to occur following with 24 hours after trauma. It there are non-reassuring fetal heart rate patterns, significant uterine tenderness, vaginal bleeding, serious maternal injury, or a positive Kleihauer-Betke test result. If none of these are present in the patient, then they may be discharged provided with some precautions.

Precautions to be taken for Pregnant Belly against Trauma:

Motor Vehicle Crashes –

Around 2% of pregnant women become victim of vehicle crash during pregnancy. And there are almost 368 women who become victim per year and unfortunately causes death. Also it is very important for pregnant women to put the seat belts in a proper manner to avoid intrauterine injury and fetal death. Also the lap belt should be placed as low as possible under the protuberant portion of abdomen.

If it is any emergency case to travel long distances for pregnant women, make sure it is airbag protected, this will provide from risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Partner Violence –

Still in this era where people belong to well-educated and with good bringing up many women are victim of domestic violence which is mainly from the partner itself. Direct assault on the abdomen, may result in setting of IPV. It is suggested by American Academy of Pediatrics to keep the family members aware of what will be circumstances of such behavioural and symptoms associated with neglect or abuse.

A patient who signifies a vague or inconsistent history of trauma should be raising a suspicion for battering. Abdomen is the area which is commonly targeted, when it comes to blows, kicks or any other assault which results in IPV. Such patients, if found around or in your family, should be counselled as soon as possible.

Falls –

Falls are one of the common thing happens with pregnant ladies, due to swelling of feet and big baby bump, sometimes it becomes impossible for them to balance on inclined surfaces, stair cases and etc. It is important to be with them at such times and situations to avoid the falls which can cause a severe traumatic situation.

The use of CBD dates back to 2700 BC. From the Chinese using cannabis for treating constipation, malaria, gout, and more to the Indians taking advantage of its anti-inflammatory and anticonvulsant properties, cannabis is deemed as an omnipotent plant.

A French psychiatrist Jean-Jacques Moreau de Tours tried cannabis for several mental disorders. He believed that the plant is hypnotic, analgesic, and anticonvulsant.

But the biggest question is: Can CBD really be good for mental health? Read on to find out more about the relation between CBD and mental health.

What is CBD?

Cbd For Mental Health

CBD is only one of the more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis. Of these cannabinoids, two are the most prominent. These are THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol).

THC is the component that makes consumers “high.” It’s the typical feeling when consuming or smoking cannabis wherein consumers have this “floating” phenomenon. And that’s how the psychoactive effect of THC is.

On the other hand, CBD is the cannabinoid that doesn’t induce any psychoactive effect. While both cannabinoids carry a myriad of health and mental benefits, the latter is more inclined to mental health. And this is because of how they work with the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

CBD and Endocannabinoid System

Each and every human has a natural system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system is extremely crucial for the body’s physiological processes. The human body innately produces its own endocannabinoids which work with several receptors and neurotransmitters.

These receptors and neurotransmitters are found throughout the human body and are responsible for making sure everything is working in topnotch order. For instance, apoptosis is a physiological process that is the control of cells through elimination. When this process isn’t regulated, abnormal cells such as cancer cells develop.

This is where the cannabinoids come into play. The body’s natural cannabinoids play an important role in keeping these functions modulated. That said, when one takes cannabis, the cannabinoids in it work with these receptors as well. CBD, however, doesn’t directly intercept these receptors. That’s why this component doesn’t make consumers high.

However, CBD has been a go-to for some with mental issues. Although more research is needed to prove the correlation between the two, a review that involved 83 eligible studies claimed that there is a very small improvement that THC and CBD relieve symptoms of anxiety.

Yet a lot of people use CBD for their mental issues. Below are some benefits of CBD for mental health.

Benefits of CBD for Mental Health

CBD for Depression

Further studies and evidence are needed to back up the claim that CBD is a treatment for depression. Depression is one of the leading causes of suicide. And a lot of people take advantage of bmwo coupon alternatives for their medical marijuana needs for the sake of alleviating depression.

According to a study that involved animals, there is good interaction between the 5-HT1A receptor and CBD. This is due to the anti-depressant and anxiolytic properties of CBD.

CBD for Anxiety and Quality Sleep

Not having enough sleep could take its toll on the human physical and mental aspects. A study was conducted to determine the effect of CBD on anxiety and sleep. Experts monitored 72 participants with concerns of anxiety and poor sleep over the course of one month.

Anxiety for 57 patients decreased while sleeping patterns for 48 patients improved within the first month as well.

CBD for Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder that impacts how a person feels, thinks, and behaves. Schizophrenic people may take advantage of CBD to lessen Schizophrenic symptoms due to their antipsychotic properties.

Although CBD doesn’t cure Schizophrenia, studies show that it improves cognitive functions. After a span of six weeks, the participants diagnosed with Schizophrenia showed lower levels of psychotic symptoms.

CBD for PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder is a common psychiatric condition after one undergoes a traumatic experience. And due to the therapeutic effects of CBD, it has been known to help cope with PTSD.

Additionally, one study has been conducted to show the relation of the ECS with emotional memory processing. That means, CBD can greatly induce positive effects on a person’s emotional wellbeing, which in turn, mitigates PTSD.

Final Words

Before integrating CBD into your daily life, it’s always recommended to consult your doctors for the right dosage. CBD may interact with other medications, hence, it’s better to prevent any adverse effects so as not to worsen the situation further.

Introduction

Now a days how does technology addiction pollute our brain. We all know that carrots and broccoli are healthy but the question is can we eat them all day. Overuse of anything works rather than benefits, and many of us are happy to see more use of technology.

Survey

According to the results of the survey conducted in 34 countries by the Consumer Data Collection company, Web Web Index, users of the Internet are online for an average of six hours daily. In these countries, Thailand, Philippines and Brazil spend more than nine hours online every day, with a third of them spending on social media. So the question is, what does technology do with our brains?

Due to the increasing use of technology it is still being scientifically investigated on its effects on our physical and mental health. It pollute our brain.

None

Dr.Shami Kang a pediatrician's mental health specialist in Canada, also focuses on people with technology addiction.

He said that technology disturbances, depression, self-esteem are increasing and the Internet is on the rise.

Just as super foods and junk foods are available with healthy foods in the diet, there are different types of technology,

if you want to have a good relationship with them, you have to understand that it is on your mind. so pollute our brain technology .

Dr. Kang says

that our brain goes through 'meta-bolisms' or chemical changes when it comes into contact with technology and releases

There are Five different types of neurochemical into our body.

Serotonin :

This neurochemical release occurs when we are doing some creative work, interacting with someone and engaging in a task.

Endorphin:

This chemical is a 'painkiller' for the human body.Generally, it is a useful neurochemical, but those targeted by others on the Internet can use it to their advantage.

Dopamine:

This neurochemical has immediate benefits but is also an addiction. The use of technology to release this chemical is increasing.

Adrenaline:

It regulates our reaction to activities like neurochemical fighting and blowing, but it's also a mix of likes, pictures and social media.

Cortisol:

This neurochemical stressor, sleep deprived, is considered to be very busy and weak.

Kang says 'Affordable technology includes everything that releases brain-enhancing serotonin, endorphin or oxytocin.'

Examples of well-established and genuine relationship-promoting apps are examples, but if you add a good amount of dopamine to your habit, it will make you addicted to social media.

She says, 'For example, there is a creative app and your child uses it to make movies. But imagine if he starts using this app for six or seven hours.'It's not a candy crush like junk technology that only releases dopamine, but you still have to be careful and set a limit.

On the contrary, we use junk technology only to 'destroy ourselves'.She compares it to eating junk food emotionally because “we do it under stress.” We worry about harmful health things

Benefits

• because we enjoy the benefits of it, like porn.

• Addictive video games and hate speech like content, cyberbullying, gambling, slot machines.

Technology Diet:

Technology Diet: Dr Kang says that any healthy technology should stay away from toxins in a diet. But staying in moderation can be a bit enjoyable. We are all encouraged to refrain from processed foods and sweet drinks, but there is no point in eating pizza and popcorn with children on Friday nights.

Likewise there's no harm in scrolling on Instagram or playing video games occasionally.

Dr. Kang says, however, that if you have diabetes or may develop palsy, your medical recommendation for sugar will be a little harder than the general public.

For example, "if you are someone whose family is addicted to something or is having anxiety, depression or having time constraints, you have to worry because you Habits are potentially"

She says that especially children are very insecure and there is so much research that can identify children who have been victims of a problem online in advance

Digital Detox:

The world is gaining access to the Internet and the life of mobile phones is increasing but the day is constantly seeing resistance from one another's connected lives.and Artificial intelligence

Global World Index :

According to the Global World Index, seven out of every 10 Internet users in the US and UK have done 'digital dieting' or 'complete digital detox'.

This includes reducing the amount of time you spend online from closing a social media account, deleting apps.

Dr.Kang says :“Using technology, all other human needs should be taken into account."

Tips:

We should sleep eight to nine hours each night, we should move our bodies two to three hours daily. You should go out of the house and bake the sun - although you are using the best technology but if you consider it an alternative to human history, then it is more than the limit.
