3 Reasons Why Netflix Should Worry in This New Media Streaming War
Because it does suck being on top of this technology tower.
Why? Because this is an intense cutthroat industry. Look at history, in fact. The Microsoft vs. Apple wars, the Nintendo vs. Genesis wars, and the automobile franchise fights we'd get to see related to technologies beefing up our vehicles, gaming systems, phones and even home appliances that would cause a media frenzy like no other. We wonder why the news wouldn't focus more on that instead of all the negative stuff we end up seeing.
Alas, Though, They May Be 'Wars', But They're Not Deadly
Some may say it's like the circle of life. Like the Lion King. Oftentimes brands sprout of with something innovative, and either they survive, or they get eaten up. It's evolution, baby. Technology is essentially the same animal -- something new and innovative comes up, like the blockchain or drone technology, and we wait on hands and knees on whether or not this new technology solution will hold water and continue to live on.
Other technologies, of course, continue to thrive on their own without threat of predators, like drone technology, and machine automation, but let's be real here: not all species of technology can be protected, and we can all mourn the loss of one fateful brad in an entertainment technology vehicle that was so prided by many: Blockbuster.
Enter: Netflix. The king of the jungle, but did you know that there's a possibility this king might be dethroned soon? Yes, you guessed it: there's another upcoming streaming war, and although both Netflix and Hulu (Plus) duked it out for quite some time, and it was just shown that perhaps the big red-and-black came out on top (with the "H-Bomb" scrambling for some scraps, but still kicking), the fact is we have another streaming war coming our way, and here's why Netflix should be maybe just a LITTLE scared....
For Starters, There's DISNEY
Yes. The big "D." And if you haven't been paying attention to the news of media entertainment, the House of Mouse will be entering Netflix's house of media streaming technology and taking over. Check it out.
Or What About AT&T? Seriously?
You heard correctly. Although it's hard to believe. The fact is a simple little telecommunications company will be packing some big guns for this war against Netflix, and you can read all about it right here.
Lastly.... Beware of APPLE
Now we're talkin'. That's right, Apple may be putting their cross-hairs on the monopoly Netflix has gathered for itself in droves, and that's the most stunning part. A computer company has thrown in your chips for the biggest media streaming war of all time. You can learn more by clicking this link.
Let's Not Forget Countless Other Brands Jumping Into the Game
It's going to be endless. We have the DC Comics brand doing their thing. The WWE Network. Shudder for horror streaming. Even Facebook. And let's not forget about Amazon Prime. Truly this is going to be an ugly war (at least for those involved), but for certain all of us are probably going to have the most fun watching such a war!
(Seriously, just look at the slate of programming you could watch streaming on your own smartphone. It's sick.)
