Designers in the emirate of Dubai need to be on song here as you need exceptional skills and talent to be able to get the coveted contract from a good company. You may think that there are tens of thousands of companies operating in the UAE and most of them are registered in Dubai. So, there must be opportunities for thousands of designers too, right? Wrong. The fact is most of the work is divided among the top ranked design companies operating in Dubai for a number of years. And small-time companies and freelancers get only a tiny share in this concern.
I am sure that most of my readers may wonder exactly what is the reason for the fact that I just mentioned above. One simple point is that there are many things for which big companies are famous for and they make sure that they keep their clientele and attract new ones based on their past record. So exactly what a new web agency needs to do in order to create a niche for themselves.
In this blog, I will try to shed some light on 3 aspects that most design agencies don’t take seriously and hence pay the price as the website they create doesn’t work well.
1. Low Performing Website
I am sure that most of us must have visited websites that are optimized to the optimum. They take split second to load and are very easy to view and browse through. The fact that if you will make the performance of a website a priority, then you will automatically gain good prominence among your target market. A website which will load in more than 5-8 seconds, cannot be termed as a good performing website.
If you are thinking that you are on top of your game by getting a brilliantly-designed website, there are many things that you need to take care of here. And performance or, in layman’s term, the speed with which a website works for an end-user is what they need to take care of.
2. Poor Use of Image, Fonts and Colors
Well, this aspect is exactly what you and everyone logging on to a website look forward to. We all think about a website which is right on the money in terms of images and the overall design. The fact that we all know that how an image can make a strong impact, apt use of an image can alleviate the impression of a website. And the poor use can leave a website in a bad taste. In the same manner, fonts and colors also play a crucial role.
If you are visiting a website that deals with financial matters and the font will be in Comic Sans or Brush Script, what will you think about that website? Absolutely non-serious and amateurish will be your first impression, right? Similarly, a loud color will also make a website look really uncool if it is associated with a bank or any other financial institution. So, while images, fonts and colors make a website look great, its poor usage will negatively affect the website.
3. A Website not Factoring in the Need of the End User
Ignoring the user and what exactly what he is looking in a website will be like a grave mistake. You need to be on song here as a designer for optimum results. If you are thinking that as you work for an agency offering web design dubai services, you only need to worry about what your client is saying, you are wrong. If you are not factoring in the what the general visitor of the website are looking for, you commit a mistake which will not get you success.
There are many things that you need to discuss with your client in deciding this factor. Even the company getting the web design for their online portal need to be in constant touch with their designers to get a website that is not only bang on trend but also works perfectly well for the target market which will visit the website and then decide to buy the product/service displayed on it.
