Quotes That Make the Perfect Love Notes

It’s Valentine’s Day! So why not celebrate with some love quites? But maybe these quotes are even more relevant on other days — days when we all need love.

#

There’s a lot of hype around Valentine’s Day. And it’s a nice holiday — who doesn’t enjoy celebrating love? However, there are 364 other days of the year when one can engage in kind and loving gestures, be it leaving someone a love note, or knocking on the neighbor’s door to offer a home baked cake. The latter may be more so associated with Christmas, but who doesn’t enjoy a random act of kindness? And in a society that’s ever more online, seeing your neighbors, connecting with people in your community, all that matters. Even a simple smile and hello matters. We can all choose to impact each other positively.

That said, let’s have a look at some love quotes. And don’t wait for Valentine’s to have an excuse to share them with someone.

Great Love Quotes to Leave as Love Notes

Love. The indigenous nature of the soul... ~Morris Hyman

How beautiful is this quote? Maybe it’s not the kind of quote you leave in someone’s lunchbox, but it sure is a nice one. It reminds me that I can feel love any time I choose, because it resides in my own soul.

If you feel like this for someone, you may just have met the love of your life. Of course, just be sure that it’s not just physical attraction, even mental attraction, but someone who is willing to create a loving relationship.

Less is more unless it's love. ~Ben Mittleman

A good quote to add if you’re buying someone a hundred roses…

In the treasure map of life, X marks love. ~Terri Guillemets

If you’ve found your X, this is a brilliant quote to give them!

Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. ~Khalil Gibran

If your lover happens to have a poetic streak, this is the perfect quote!

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction. ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

When you are planning your life with someone, this is a particularly great quote!

For you see, each day I love you more
Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.
~Rosemonde Gerard

This is just such a beautiful thing to say to someone you’re in a longterm relationship with!

Absence diminishes small loves and increases great ones, as the wind blows out the candle and fans the bonfire. ~François VI de la Rochefoucault

Having to spend time apart? This could be a lovely thing to say to them. Given, of course, you know it’s a great love!

In Closing

I hope this gave you some inspiration. Maybe you’ll even pen your own love note? Let your imagination take flight and tell another soul how much you care…
